The Ming-Jiang Zhu Workshop is based in Guangzhou, China under the guidance of the outstanding maker Ming-Jiang Zhu. Zhu was trained under master violin maker and educator Guo-Hui Liang. In 1991, he opened his own workshop. Ming Jiang Zhu has won 19 awards from international competitions and has been labeled "within the top 5% of violin makers in the world today."
Mr. Zhu Mingjiang has been interviewed by many international media, including the American "Time" magazine and the British "Strad" stringed instrument magazine, etc.
Many of the luthiers at Ming-Jiang Zhu workshop have been awarded for their workmanship as well. Altogether, the workshop has won 23 awards from top international competitions including the Violin Society of America, including 2 gold and 3 silver medals.
The instruments of the workshop are crafted following Italian traditions and standards of craftsmanship. Ming Jiang Zhu Workshop constantly produces exceptional and exquisite instruments that are powerful in tone.

This violin is made by Ming Jiang Zhu's top luthiers at the Noble Heart Workshop (who have been at this workshop for a minimum of 10 years). They have chosen the finest selection of woods in their batch of imported fine European woods. For the top, they select the finest spruce from Italy and Bosnian Maple for the sides and back. The availability of these raw materials are so hard to come by, on average they produce only one each month. The cost of the wood is about 10 times the cost of the wood used for the Ming-Jiang Zhu 909 violin.

About the maker
Ming Jiang Zhu - Winner of the Violin Society America Gold and Silver twice, plus countless other international awards. Mr. Zhu's instruments are highly recognized for their remarkable sound quality and power typically reserved for fine Italian Instruments.
